Today will be mostly cloudy with afternoon highs ranging from the low 40s near the international border to the low 60s in the Brainerd Lakes region and portions of northern Wisconsin. A north wind will become east midday.

There is a chance of a few snowflakes this morning in Koochiching County and northern St. Louis County. Accumulation is not expected.

Cloudy conditions will continue through the night, which means we will not get to see the total lunar eclipse. Winds will get faster overnight ahead of the Colorado Low reaching the Northland.

Friday will have a few light showers in the morning and then heavy, widespread rain overnight. There is a chance of severe thunderstorms on Friday afternoon to early evening with large hail and damaging winds possible.

Snow will mix with the rain on Saturday morning. Most of the area will have under an inch of accumulation, but areas in western Koochiching and Itasca Counties could see up to three inches.
