The Courage Kenny Rehabilitation Institute held their 21st annual Shoot for Fun fundraiser on Saturday. The event started with around 35 people and has grown to around 480 participants.

The organization has been providing adaptive recreation and sports in the Twin Ports area for the last 40 years.

"We are part of a larger comprehensive neurological rehabilitation center that provides physical rehabilitation services from clinical all the way to community-based services. In our Northland area, it’s community recreation and sports," Eric Larson with Courage Kenny added about the organization.

The event is the only fundraiser for local programs.

"It raises over a third of our operating budget annually and it really is tremendous not only in raising operating dollars, but also in creating awareness about year-round recreational pursuits and adaptive programming that we do," Larson said.

WDIO's own Justin Liles emceed the event.
