"Just when you go around the corners, it's fun just hanging on," is what 13-year-old Trevyn Jorgenson said he likes about racing.

Jorgenson said he's been racing for about four years now, but he doesn't do it alone. He races alongside his cousins on a weekly basis.

In fact, Jorgenson is par of four generations of Jorgenson Racing that compete in this sport.

"When my husband and I started dating, I invited him and his boys to come out. They wound up loving it and we've been racing ever since," said third generation member of Jorgenson Racing Shannon Jorgenson.

"We grew up on snowmobiles and we were just fortunate enough to be able to do it," said Shannons's nephew Jeremy Jorgenson.

The KCPRO East organization is only for kids ages 4-14, so only two generations of the Jorgenson clan participate as racers week to week. However, the racing season usually stretched for 8-10 weeks usually ending in March. That means that each weekend they get to look forward to more family time.

"It's really fun. It gives us a great opportunity all winter long to get together and it's wonderful for the kids to grow up spending this time together," said Shannon.

Just being a family. You know everybody getting together; we love it. We've been doing it forever," said Jeremy.
