Justin Liles: The cold will stick around one more day
Arctic cold and dangerous wind chills will continue through Tuesday morning. All our region will continue to be under and extreme cold warning until noon Tuesday. During this time, he dangerously cold wind chills as low as 50 below zero could cause frostbite on exposed skin in as little as 10 minutes. Frostbite and hypothermia will occur if unprotected skin is exposed to these temperatures. An extended period of very cold temperatures could cause ruptured water pipes.

The other impact of this cold air will be Lake effect snow showers along the South Shore. Additional accumulations across northern Bayfield County of 2 to 4 with lower totals in northeast Douglas, northeast Ashland, and northern Iron Counties.

Temperatures will warm up be the end of the week as climb back close to 20°F by Friday and throughout the weekend.
