Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz has signed an executive order meant to protect the state's abortion services from laws in neighboring states, following the U.S. Supreme Court decision ending constitutional protections for the procedure.
Dozens gathered at the Federal Building in Duluth on Friday in support of the Supreme Court's decision to overturn Roe v. Wade, as well as a few people who were against the decision.
The summer solstice marks the longest day of the year with Duluth receiving 15 hours 52 minutes of daylight. Daylight hours decrease until the shortest day of the year, the winter solstice. The rate of daylight loss will increase until the fall equinox.
Warmer weather is here, but so is everyone’s least favorite critter: ticks. With a cool spring, tick activity is peaking now instead of earlier in the season.
