Lea Zmurko: Temps continue to rise and snow starts to fall
An incoming clipper will bring light snowfall across the area with 1 to 2 inches of light fluffy snow expected. Some areas along the Borderland and in localized higher terrain along the North Shore can potentially see closer to three inches through tonight.

The snow will start mid-morning to the northwest and cross the Head of the Lake by the early evening and clear out from the south shore by Saturday afternoon. There will be a few isolated flurries in thew wake of this clipper that can continue to build the snowfall totals through Saturday night.
Expect some messier road conditions by the time many head home for the weekend tonight but overall, the snow will remain airy and dry, a perfect powder for any fun outdoor weekend activities. With temperatures on the rise into the mid-twenties it will be an enjoyable few days for any outdoor winter enthusiasts.
After the snow clears, conditions will start to become breezy with a northwest wind, gusts have the potential to reach 40 to 50 mph. The northwest flow will continue into next week bringing additional chances for light snowfall.
