Lea Zmurko: Stepping into a drier direction
Stating off with some cloud coverage this morning as the periodic showers wraps up and some brighter conditions become more apparent. Winds are slightly breezy with windspeeds around 10-15 mph this morning pushing in cold air advection from the northwest.
There will still be opportunities for some short-lived showers to graze across the Arrowhead and along the South Shore in the evening, but rain chance remains slight for most.
The middle of the week will be considerably sunnier than the past few days as temps return up into the 70s but the nice afternoons will only last so long before the next disruption rolls in. Thunderstorms and showers are slated to be back in the region Thursday night into Friday morning coming across east central Minnesota and norther Wisconsin. This will bring in a cool down for the start of the weekend, but temperatures will be on the rise following the last of the rain.
