Student jazz musicians in free virtual concert at UWS

The University of Wisconsin-Superior Music Department will host a free virtual concert showcasing the Jazz Band and Jazz Combo at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, December 10. The concert will include music recorded between October and November. It will feature the music of Charles Mingus, Fred Sturm, Charlie Parker, Kenny Burrell and Roy Hargrove.

“This is the first time the students in the jazz program have been involved with a large-scale recording project and many expressed their excitement at having the opportunity,” Greg Kehl Moore, UW-Superior jazz program director and audio engineer said in a press release about the event.
