Questions and concerns are circulating within the Green Bay Packer fandom over whether Aaron Rodgers will stay or go.
This comes after reports surfaced online that the 37-year-old quarterback may not want to return to the Packer’s.
In light of these speculations, WDIO spoke to Packer fans about what Rodgers means to the team and what it would mean if he left.
Jason Weaver of Wisconsin said Rodgers is a one of a kind quarterback.
“I hope Aaron Rodgers stays with the Packers,” Weaver said. “It would be just like if Brett Favre left. It was a day of mourning for the Packer fandom.”
Stacey Hessel of Wisconsin said a departure from Rodgers would be difficult on Wisconsin because the state believes in him. Also adding, that losing Brett Favre was hard.
“I’m an Aaron Rodgers fan because he’s not hard on the eyes and he’s also a great quarterback, but I was also a Brett Favre fan, so it would just be really nice to have a man that wanted to stay in Wisconsin and wasn’t afraid of commitment,” Hessel said.
As of now, Rodgers leaving the Green Bay Packers remains up in the air, but the WDIO sports team will continue to track updates on his plans.
