The Superior City Council on Tuesday night voted to reenact a city mask mandate.

Mayor Jim Paine proposed the resolution as the statewide mandate is being challenged in the state legislature, and the previous ordinance in the City of Superior has expired.

The mandate will go into effect this coming Monday, but the statewide mask mandate will take precedence as long as it is in effect.

The City of Superior's state of emergency was also extended until April 30.

The mask mandate will continue until the city's state of emergency expires.
