The Bulldogs - who were just a single vote from third place in the poll - received 23 votes to Ohio State University's 24, who finished third in the voting.

UMD returns 100% of its goal scorers from a season ago, including sophomore forward Gabbie Hughes, who led the team last year with 37 points on 19 goals and 18 assists in just 33 games.

The Bulldogs - who went 15-16-4 overall last year - drop the puck on the 2019-20 season on September 28 at AMSOIL Arena, when they will host the Minnesota Whitecaps at 4:00 p.m.
