Norton, Bulldogs Defeat St. Cloud State in Series Opener

Duluth, Minn. - Lizi Norton had a goal and an assist as UMD defeated St. Cloud State 4-2 in women's hockey on Friday night.

The Bulldogs hosted the game. With the win, they now have victories in six of their last eight. They are 13-12-2 overall and 9-8-2 in WCHA play.

Maddie Rooney had 21 saves in net for UMD.

Saturday's Game will feature UMD wearing pink jerseys/sweaters as part of 'Pink The Rink.' Fans can bid on them and proceeds from the auction will go to help fight breast cancer.
