Web Extra: Extended Highlights from Hermantown's 2OT Win Over Greenway

Duluth, Minn. - The Hermantown Hawks are headed to the State A Boy's Hockey Tournament for the ninth straight season and the two-time defending State Champions will have a shot at a three-peat after edging Greenway 5-4 in double overtime of the Section 7A Championship at AMSOIL Arena.

The game including a two-goal third period comeback from Hermantown before they took a 4-3 lead. Then, on a late power play, Greenway's Cameron Lantz scored just before the buzzer with 'officially' one second left on the game clock to tie it at four and force overtime. After a scoreless first overtime, Hermantown senior Tyler Watkins scored his second goal of the game, this one with 14 seconds left in the second overtime to end things and send the Hawks to state. 

The Raiders were looking to secure their first spot in the state tournament since 2001.

The State A Boy's Hockey Tournament begins Wednesday, March 7th at the Xcel Energy Center in St. Paul.
