Washburn girls’ soccer falls in shootout in WIAA State tournament

The Washburn girls’ soccer team took to the Division 4 semifinals of the WIAA State tournament Thursday night against Ozaukee/Random Lake in Milwaukee. It marked Washburn’s first-ever state appearance as a program.
The game would go into double overtime tied 1-1 before ending in a shootout. After eight rounds, the Ozaukee/Random Lake Warriors would win the game taking the shootout 7-6.
