UW-Superior won an automatic bid on Saturday after claiming their third straight Upper Midwest Athletic Conference (UMAC) tournament title. This will also mark the team's third consecutive trip to the NCAA Tournament, something no other UMAC team has ever done.

The Yellowjackets were once a part of the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) so these two teams are very familiar with each other.

"I think we're going to come ready to play because we know that we have the experience to play with these teams, " said senior guard Hailey Kontny.

"I know the girls are excited to travel back into the WIA and see those girls. They played on that court and that's huge going back," said head coach Zach Otto-Fisher. "Especially for that senior leadership to come in and be like 'it's just another normal day, another court for us.'"

Opening tip-off of the tournament is set for 7:00 P.M. on Friday.
