Yellowjackets Notch Third Straight UMAC Championship

Superior Senior Hailey Kontny led UW-Superior dropping 27 points and nine rebounds as the Yellowjackets claimed their third-straight UMAC Tournament Championship and punched their ticket to the NCAA Tournament.

Kontny was also named the Tournament MVP. Eva Reinertsen and Hannah Norlin each added 8 points. Norlin was also earned 16 rebounds.

UWS trailed at the half, but their third quarter surge got them back on top and kept them there the rest of the game.

With the win, the Yellowjackets completed a 54-0 (playoffs included) UMAC-winning streak, and earned their third-consecutive NCAA Tournament bid. Their opponent will be determined this Monday during the NCAA Selection Show.
