UWS nets nine against Northland in exhibition home opener

The University of Wisconsin-Superior (UWS) men's hockey team scored nine goals Friday night to defeat Northland College in an exhibition match in Superior. It marked UWS' first home game since hosting Northland on February 22, 2020.

The Yellowjackets won 9-3 marking their second straight exhibition victory over the Lumberjacks this season. 

Connor Hamonic and Chad Lopez each tallied two goals for UWS while Troy MacTavish notched one goal and two assists during their victory. 

Brendan Charlton had one goal and one assist for Northland. Brandon Holt and Daniel Aspro scored the other goals for the Lumberjacks. 

UWS and Northland are scheduled to face off in both of their season openers February 3rd at 7pm at Northland College.
