University of Minnesota Duluth softball’s Nicole Schmitt has added another honor to the list as she has been named to the NFCA Division II All-Central Region First Team.

The senior infielder is the 16th player in program history to be selected, and only the 10th to have first-team honors. With this selection Schmitt is in the running to become the first UMD Bulldog to receive an All-American honorary citation since 2018.

Schmitt holds UMD’s single-season home run record, tallying 18 home runs in the 2025 season.
