UMD women's basketball finishes strong to beat Wayne State
UMD women’s basketball benefitted from three double digit scorers on Saturday to blow past Wayne State, 62-56.
Johanna Miller led the team with 19 points despite playing just 24 minutes. Claire Bjorge and Myra Moorjani were the other double digit scorers, with 16 and 11 points respectively.
After leading handily all game, Wayne State made a fourth quarter comeback to make things close, but the UMD lead proved to be insurmountable.
The Bulldogs next take the court on Wednesday against Winona State, with a 5:30 p.m. tipoff.
