Bulldogs Earn 2-1 Overtime Victory Against Bemidji State

Maggie Flaherty would net the game-winner as the University of Minnesota Duluth (UMD) UMD women’s hockey team earned the 2-1 victory over Bemidji State University (BSU) Friday evening at AMSOIL Arena in the first round of the Western Collegiate Hockey Association (WCHA) playoffs.


Gabbie Hughes gave Bulldogs the first lead of the game scoring in the third period. The Beavers quickly knotted things up to send the game to overtime.

Maddie Rooney finished with 19 saves on the night.

The Bulldogs will look for the sweep Saturday night. Puck drop is set for 4:07 P.M. A game three (if needed) would happen on Sunday.
