Unbeaten in their last five games, the No. 9 University of Minnesota Duluth (UMD) women's hockey team will put the wraps on regular season by hosting No. 2 Wisconsin.

UMD has already clinched home ice for the first round of the Western Collegiate Hockey Association (WCHA) playoffs, but know just how much is on line in their final series as they sit tied with Ohio State for the third spot in the conference.

"There's a lot oF confidence just knowing we can hang with those top five teams," said UMD senior forward Brooklyn Schugel. "It just feels good going into the weekend knowing we're right there."

"We play well under pressure and we play well against good teams, so I think that gives me confidence. I think we know the importance of this weekend," said UMD senior forward Sydney Brodt.

Friday will mark Senior Day for UMD where they will honor five Bulldogs. They include forwards Shugel, Brodt, Ryleigh Houston, defenseman Jalyn Elmes, and goaltender Maddie Rooney.

"This class has been awesome for us. It reminds me of the Stalder, Brik, McGovern and that whole group. I don't even want to imagine what we looked like without them," said UMD women's hockey head coach Maura Crowell about the seniors.

Puck drop Friday is set for 7:07 P.M. at AMSOIL Arena. It's also 'Cram the Am' night. Fans can get in for one dollar or free with a food shelf donation.
