Former University of Minnesota Duluth (UMD) center Michelle Lowenhielm is the newest Bulldogs to join the Swedish Hockey League (SDHL) for the upcoming season.

The 2014 Swedish Olympian will play for HV71, joining former Bulldog teammates Jessica Healey and Sidney Morin on the roster. Lowenhielm spent last season playing for the Connecticut Whale which is part of the National Women's Hockey League (NWHL.)

Prior to the NWHL, Lowenhielm skated for UMD for four seasons scoring 10 goals and adding 32 assists in 144 games.
