UMD earns first NCAA selection in four seasons, to face Colgate in quarterfinals

The NCAA women's hockey selection show was on Sunday.

After falling to Ohio State University in the Final Faceoff Saturday night the University of Minnesota Duluth (UMD) learned they're not done yet.

They've earned the number five seed in the NCAA tournament.

It's the first time in four years the five time national champions have clinched a spot in the tournament.

They'll face fourth seeded Colgate University, UMD head coach Maura Crowell's alma mater, Monday, March 15 at the Erie Insurance Arena in Erie, Pennsylvania.
