UMD Takes Care of Minnesota Crookston, Stay Unbeaten

The University of Minnesota Duluth (UMD) women's tennis team defeated the University of Minnesota Crookston 7-0 Saturday afternoon.

The Bulldogs lost just four games during the entire Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference match as sophomores Natalie Cahill (No. 2) Isabel Thiner (No. 4) and Arielle Emerson (No. 5) and freshman Sarah Will (No. 6) all posted 6-0, 6-0 triumphs in singles and the doubles tandems of juniors Megan Anderson and Elsa Erickson (No. 1), Thiner and sophomore Ally Tiedermann (No. 2) and Emerson and Will each won by 6-0 margins. Erickson (6-1 and 6-1 at No. 1) and Tiedemann (6-1 and 6-1 at No. 3) were the Bulldogs' other two singles victors.

UMD will his the road to take on NSIC rivals Winona State University and Upper Iowa University.
