Despite holding off them off until the final two minutes of the game, St. Cloud State would score two goals to sweep the No. 8 UMD men's hockey team.


Nick Poehling scored the first goal of the game at 18:25 for the Huskies. Micah Miller is attributed with SCSU's empty netter, to defeat UMD 2-0. 

Goaltender Hunter Shepard, in his 103rd consecutive start, made 24 saves. 

UMD (12-8-2 overall and 7-3-2-0 in the NCHC) will return to AMSOIL Arena this Friday and Saturday (Jan. 24-25) to host the University of North Dakota.
