UMD's Early Lead Couldn't Stop Beavers Third Period Rally

In their first back-to-back series action in over a month, the University of Minnesota Duluth (UMD) women's hockey team gave up four third period goals to hand Bemidji State the 5-3 victory on Friday night at AMSOIL Arena.

Ryleigh Houston scored her first goal of her career as a Bulldog and Jessica Healey followed her up with a power play goal to give the Bulldogs a 2-0 lead in the second period. However, the floodgates opened in the third period as four different Beavers earned goals to hand UMD the loss.

Healey netted her second goal of the game in the third period, but the damage was done.

Jessica Convery earned 32 saves in the loss.

UMD moves to 9-12-1 on the season. The two teams will close out the series Saturday at 4:00 P.M.
