UW-Superior Women, CSS Men Advance to UMAC Basketball Title Games

Katie White had 16 points and Hannah Norlin chipped in with 15 points and 12 rebounds as UW-Superior defeated Northwestern 71-67 in overtime to advance to the Upper Midwest Athletic Conference (UMAC) Women's Basketball Tournament Title Game.

White hit a buzzer beating three-pointer to tie the game and send it into overtime.

The top-seeded Yellowjackets swept the season series 3-0.

UW-Superior will host Bethany Lutheran in the title game on Saturday at 3:00 p.m.

Third seeded St. Scholastica advanced to the title game in the UMAC Men's Tournament, picking up a 95-88 win at second seeded Bethany Lutheran.

Senior Brandon Newman lead the way with 25 points and five total Saints scored in double figures.

The Vikings won both regular season meetings, but the third time was the charm for the Saints.
