CSS and UW-Superior Athletes Recognized With UMAC Weekly Awards

The Upper Midwest Athletic Conference (UMAC) is recognizing five athletes from St. Scholastica and one from UW-Superior with weekly recognition.

St. Scholastica quarterback Zach Edwards is the Offensive Player of the Week. He became first CSS player to throw over 500 yards in a game. He also finished with 509 yards passing and three TDs and added one rushing touchdown.

The Volleyball Defensive Player of the Week is Alcia Draper. She averaged 8.0 d/s three matches last week and recorded season-high 39 digs in win vs. UW-Superior. 39 digs in four-setter is fifth-best in program history

In Women's soccer, Madison Gutekunst of UW-Superior is the Defensive Player of the Week. She lead the Yellowjackets to two UMAC wins and recorded two shutouts for four total this season. She also tallied six saves in the victories

In cross country, St. Scholastica swept the awards with Isaac Boedigheimer earning the men's award and Lexi Erickson earning the women's award.

Boedigheimer lead the Saints to a program-best 12th place at UW-Oshkosh. He placed 51st in field of 452 runners and recorded a time of 25:51.

Lexi Erickson lead the Saints for the fourth time this season at UW-Oshkosh. She finished in the top 100 out of 419 runners and clocked a time of 23:55.
