The Twin Ports Pro Development Camp will return to the Superior Ice Arena for its sixth annual summer. The camp is scheduled to take place July 26-29 and it's designed and ran by pro hockey players.

"We try to emulate our camp with the experience that we've had from a professional level," said Twin Ports Pro Development Camp Head Instructor and co-owner Brett Olson. "Training camps that we've gone through at the NHL, AHL and ECHL training camps. We add workout elements to skating elements, to skills elements and all the way to athletic enhancement situations."

Olson will lead camp once again this year. He's in his 9th year of professional hockey.

Back to join Olson is Duluth native and former Bulldog Andy Welinski, and former St. Scholastica and University of Minnesota Duluth (UMD) defenseman Brenden Kotyk, who is an assistant coach for the South Carolina Stingrays of the ECHL.

The new additions include Hobey Baker Award winner and former Bulldog Jack Connolly and a UMD goaltender from Cohassett that will be announced at a later date.

"Every year we get to work with the kids is something special for us. That means that we're still playing and as we keep going along, keep building relationships with not only the players that come to camp every year, but the new players and our staff as well, we keep building a relationships. We have a tight-knit group that knows what we expect for teaching the young athletes, but also being good role models," said Olson.
