Solid Pitching, Homers Push Spartans Past Rails in Season Opener

In prep softball Thursday afternoon, Superior defeated Proctor 4-2 in the softball season opener at Egerdahl field in Proctor.

In the bottom of the second, Superior up 1-0, Spartan Kayleigh Miller hit a two-run homer to make it 3-0. Madison Sislo and Miller scored.

In the top of the fourth, Proctor's Payton Rodberg hit a ball deep right connecting with the back fence for a solo home run to make it 4-1.

Superior would win 4-2.

Next, Superior travels to Wausau West Friday, first pitch set for 4:30 P.M.. Proctor hosts Mora Tuesday at 4:30 P.M..
