In a back and forth battle, the Superior girls basketball team took down Esko, 55-48.

Esko started off hot, jumping out to a 5-0 lead quickly, but Superior would battle back and increase their lead into the double digits at halftime.

Esko was able to muster up multiple comebacks, but their final attempt fell short. Esko’s Layla Peterson led the way with 10 points, while Superior was powered by Anna Manion’s 22 points.

Esko turns to take on Pequot Lakes on Thursday at 7:15 p.m.while Superior will try to make it two wins in the same week against Duluth East on Thursday at 5:45 p.m.
