Proctor/Hermantown Mirage win first ever state tournament in 2OT

Alyssa Watkins scored the game-winner in double overtime lifting the Proctor/Hermantown Mirage over Gentry Academy to win their first ever Class A state girl's hockey title on Saturday.

Gentry Academy's Cara Sajevic scored first halfway through the first period. Aurora Opsahl tied it up for the Mirage a minute later to make it 1-1. 

Sajevic added another for Gentry Academy, this time on the power-play, in the second to take back the 2-1 lead. 

In the third period Izy Fairchild scored for Proctor/Hermantown on the power-play to tie it up at 2-2 to force overtime.

Alyssa Watkins scored at the 5 minute mark in the second overtime on a power-play to lift the Mirage to a 3-2 victory.

Proctor/Hermantown finishes their season with a perfect 21-0 record.
