Locals to Headline October 'Generation Next' Pro Boxing Event in Duluth

Duluth, Minn. - Duluth boxers Danny Huffman and Jesse Walters recently turned pro and they'll help highlight an event next month in their hometown. It is called Generation Next and it'll be at The Sports Garden.

"It is just great to get another opportunity to get in front of my friends, family and fans and be local," says Huffman, who is 2-0-1 since turning pro in late September of 2018.

"I used to fight there when I was a kid and it is where I had my first fight as an amateur, says Walters, who is 1-0 after winning his debut last month in Maplewood.

October 11th is the date. Huffman fights Jake Henriksen (3-4) of Glyndon, Minnesota. other fights still to be determined. The event will also feature pro debuts of Grand Marais native Jesse Wanamaker, who's also been a mixed martial arts fighter. Former Proctor/Hermantown goalie and amateur boxing standout Amy Lemanager.
