No. 6 Proctor/Hermantown Wins Section Rematch, No. 1 Hermantown Tops Totino Grace

The No. 6 Proctor/Hermantown girls hockey team defeated No. 11 Duluth Marshall 5-0 in a rematch of the Section 7A championship game.

Next, the Mirage (5-6) play Superior on the road Tuesday at 7 p.m. Duluth Marshall (5-4) host Benilde St. Margaret's Friday at 7 p.m.

The No. 1 Hermantown boys defeated Totino Grace 3-2 in Hermantown Friday night. 

Aaron Pionk scored first for the Hawks in the second period. Jack Mathison and Zach Klein each scored in the second period as well, putting Hermantown up 3-0. Despite two late goals from Totino Grace, the Hawks held on to win 3-2. 

Jacob Backstrom made 17 saves in goal for Hermantown, while Wes Johnson made 48 for Totino Grace. 

Next, Hermantown (4-1-1) hosts Duluth Denfeld Tuesday at 7:30 p.m.
