Donovan Scores in OT as Duluth East Defeats Andover in Section 7AA Title Game

Duluth, Minn. - Ryder Donovan scored 36 seconds in overtime on a power play as Duluth East defeated Andover 4-3 to win the Section 7AA Boy's Hockey Championship at AMSOIL Arena.

It was the second straight year that these teams met in the section title game and both times, Duluth East won in overtime. Earlier this season, Andover defeated Duluth East 2-1 in overtime in Andover.

Ricky Lyle had two goals for the Greyhounds while Jack FitzGerald also scored.

Wyatt Kaiser, Kyle Nelson and Charlie Schoen scored for Andover.

With the win, the Greyhounds will advance to the State AA Boy's Hockey Tournament, which begins next week at the Xcel Energy Center in St. Paul.
