Grand Rapids/Greenway To Be Part Of Hockey Day MN 2020 Weekend

Duluth, Minn. - For the second time - the Grand Rapids-Greenway girl's hockey team will be on the outdoor ice as part of Hockey Day Minnesota. This time - at Parade stadium in Minneapolis.

Details were announced Wednesday as the Lightning will be part of the event. They were also part of it in 2013 at Pokegama Lake in Grand Rapids.

In 2020 - it'll be a three-day hockey weekend as Grand Rapids/Greenway plays Blake Thursday January 16th at 8 p.m. Holy Angels and Minneapolis will play in a girl's game before it. Friday, for the first time, there will be a NHL alumni game. Saturday the 18th - the boy's games will feature Warroad vs Minneapolis and Blaine vs Blake. Ohio State and the Gopher's will meet in a college women's game outdoors that day. The Wild host the Dallas Stars that night at the Xcel Energy Center.
