The Rock Ridge boys hockey team couldn't hold off Greenway in their season opener falling 4-3 at the Hodgins-Berardo Arena in Coleraine on Tuesday night.

Ezra Calrson scored first for the Raiders. Then down 3-0 in the third period Brant Tiedeman would tally the Wolverines first-ever goal as a program, and his first varsity goal, to get Rock Ridge on the board. Ryder Gerulli and Nick Troutwine added two more in the third period to tie it before Greenway's Carter Cline scored the game-winning goal.

Greenway improves to 2-0 while Rock Ridge falls to 0-1.

At the Duluth Heritage Center the Duluth East boys hockey team fell 4-3 to Grand Rapids. It marked the Greyhounds first home game under new head coach Steve Pitoscia.

Joey DelGreco scored first for the Thunderhawks while Henry Murray scored first for the Greyhounds. Duluth goaltender Zander Ziemski made 50 saves on the night.

Duluth falls to 0-3 while Grand Rapids improves to 1-0.
