Prep boys hockey: Hermantown, Proctor both register 4-0 wins

On the prep rinks on Saturday, Hermantown boys hockey took down Mahtomedi 4-0, and Proctor took down Tartan by the same score, 4-0.

Three first period goals powered the Hawks to a big lead, as Charlie Marchand, River Freeman, and Alexander Nicklin found the back of the net. Cam Lukovsky would score in the third period to put the game away.

Bryce Francisco was perfect in net, saving all 24 shots that came his way.

In Proctor, neither team scored in the first period, but Proctor put up two goals in the second and third periods each.

Austin Bryant accounted for three of the goals, as his three goals provided Proctor with their first three of the game, but Wynn Giswold got into the action with a third period goal.

Hermantown turns to take on Cloquet/Esko/Carlton on Thursday, while Proctor will face Pine City Area on Tuesday.
