Prep boys hockey: No. 1 Hermantown wins at home, No. 6 Denfeld crowned holiday tourney champs

Both the Hermantown and Duluth Denfeld boys hockey teams won their holiday tournament finales on Thursday.

No. 1 Hermantown downed No. 4 Delano 6-2 with Ty Hanson scoring twice for the Hawks. Hermantown improves to 8-1 overall. 

No. 6 Denfeld won the Heritage Holiday Inn Classic after shutting out Anoka 8-0. Andy Larson scored four goals lifting the Hunters to a 8-2-1 overall record. 

The Hawks and Hunters will face-off Tuesday at 7pm in Hermantown in a rematch of last season's Section 7A championship game.
