Following their victory over Esko Thursday, the Hermantown girls basketball team honored their longtime head coach Beth Clark for tallying her 500th win back in December.

Clark earned her 500th career win on December 6th. She's currently in her 32nd season as head coach.

"There's a few people here tonight that I didn't expect to see that are here so that's kind of cool. It's fun to see them and it's fun to see where they've progressed. In some situations I've had their kids already come through the program. It's rewarding, satisfying and yet it's something that I would love to continue to do," said Clark.

Clark was inducted into the Minnesota Girls Basketball Coaches Association Hall of Fame in 2014. This season, she's led Hermantown to an impressive 22-2 record so far.

Before the ceremony, the Hermantown girls defeated Esko 53-39. During the match, Kristy DeMuth tallied her 1,000th career point with the Eskomos.

Now, the Hawks have two regular season matches remaining.

Following the ceremony, the Hawk boys basketball team also tallied a win over Esko. The Hawks defeated the Eskomos 79-69.
