Thunderhawks Headed to Third Straight State Girl's Basketball Tournament

Grand Rapids, Minn. - For three seasons in a row, the Minnesota State AAA Girl's Basketball tournament will feature Grand Rapids.

"Just as a team, we have come together and are playing so well and I am so happy to be part of the team right now, because we are not in a slump right now, we are at the top of our game," says senior guard Heaven Hamling.

It is the seventh overall trip for the program. The Thunderhawks (21-7) face third seeded Academy of Holy Angels (25-4) Wednesday at 4 p.m. at Williams Arena in the quarterfinals. The Stars are also making their third straight trip to state.
