Esko Wins Section Title Earning Back-to-Back State Visits, Hibbing Falls to Princeton

In prep boys basketball Thursday evening, Esko defeated Pequot Lakes for the Section 7AA title game, earning back-to-back trips to the State tournament. Hibbing fell to Princeton in the Section 7AAA championship.

Esko defeated Pequot Lakes 58-45. Camden Berger led Esko in points with 20. Jordan Schommer led Pequot Lakes with 16 points. Esko will advance to the State tournament kicking off March 20th. 

Hibbing fell 91-76 to Princeton. Luke Lundell led Hibbing with 18 points, and Ayden McDonald had 17. Jon Stimmler led Princeton with 34. Princeton earns the Section title to advance.

Brackets for the State tournament will be announced Saturday.
