Port Wing, Wisconsin native, Megan Gustafson, isn't just a great basketball player. She's also a great ambassador for the Northland.

Gustafson is Wisconsin's all-time leading prep scorer and went on to earn numerous accolades playing basketball at the University of Iowa. Her senior season she was named the Big Ten, Associated Press, ESPNW, and the Naismith Player of the Year.

In April, Gustafson was selected 17th overall by the Dallas Wings in the WNBA draft. She participated in their training camp, but was cut by the team just ahead of their season opener. In June, she got a call that sent her packing her bags and heading back to Dallas to join the Wings once again.

In 10 games with Dallas, Gustafson has scored 29 points, recorded 22 rebounds, and 4 assists. Following the WNBA season she plans to play overseas in Budapest, Hungary. While the WNBA is in their All-Star Break, she made a trip back to Port Wing to visit her family. WDIO Sports Reporter Chelsie Brown caught up with Gustafson asking her about her senior season at Iowa and life in the WNBA.
