Mkungo Defends Grandma's Half Marathon Title, Jermann Wins First Women's Half

In the 29th annual Garry Bjorklund Half Marathon, Panuel Mkungo, 25, of Kenya, defended his title, while Katy Jermann, 27, of Burnsville, MN, claimed the women’s title.

Mkungo won the men's half marathon for the second consecutive year finishing with a time of 1:02:37. Jermann claimed the women’s title in 1:10:27.

There were 9,239 people registered for the 2019 Garry Bjorklund Half Marathon with 7,481 starters (2,867 men and 4,614 women) and 7,492 finishers (2,872 men and 4,620 women).
