Northwood/Solon Springs baseball was stopped one step short of their second straight state tournament appearance on Tuesday, falling 14-1 to Edgar in the Division 4 Sectional Finals.

Isaiah Ahlberg scored their lone run of the game off an infield ground out in the seventh inning.

Earlier in the day, Northwood/Solon Springs beat Washburn 8-6 in the semifinals to advance to the Finals for their third time in four seasons.

The program now boasts Sectional runner-up finishes in 2022 and 2025, and a State runner-up finish in 2024.
