Not only did the Northwestern boys basketball team upset Cumberland, but they also upset top-seeded Cameron to win their second regional title in three seasons. Heading into sections, they've got a lot of confidence, but the Tigers plan to continue embracing their role as the underdog.

"Once we got healthy, we got back to kind of our style of play - pushing the ball up the floor, pressing teams, creating a lot of havoc. We play a high level of basketball that we feel a lot of teams aren't used to necessarily," said Northwestern boys basketball coach Nolan Graff.

The Tigers will play Aquinas Thursday in the section semifinals. Both teams come into that meeting with five game win streaks.

"Pushing them up the floor, beating them up the floor, getting layups and getting stops on defense. Every possession is going to matter in this game. I think just stops on defense will help us come out on top," said Northwestern senior point guard Harrison Nelson.

Tip off on the road is set for 7 P.M.
