The Northland sent plenty of wrestlers to wrestling state tournaments over the last week, and many of them are coming home with some hardware.

Grand Rapids had a champion, Christian Jelle was crowned the 139AA state champion. Some other finishers include Aitkin’s Jacob Williams, who finished 4th at 215A, while Ian Larrabee placed 4th at state for 285AA.

Grand Rapids’ Warren Ritter placed 5th in 152AA, and Destan Skelly placed 4th in 172AA.

Nashwauk-Greenway-Keewatin’s Jovanna Volker placed 3rd in weight class 136, while Willow Horack placed 6th in 235 girls at state! Rock Ridge’s Gage Benz also 5th place at state for weight class 107AA.
