Handful of Northland Hockey Standouts Selected in USHL Draft

Nine Northland boys hockey standouts were selected in the 2019 USHL Draft that took place Monday and Tuesday.

Defenseman Jack Peart and forward Joey DelGreco of Grand Rapids were both selected in Phase I of the draft. Peart was selected 7th overall by the Fargo Force, while DelGreco was picked 44th by the Waterloo Black Hawks.

Seven players from the Northland were selected in Phase II on Tuesday. They include former Thunderhawk and future University of Minnesota Duluth (UMD) goaltender Zach Stejskal and former Duluth East forwards Garrett Worth and Austin Jouppi. Joining them are Hounds' forwards Ricky Lyle, Fred Paine, Logan Anderson, and Greenway forward Donte Lawson.
