Updated: August 06, 2020 10:48 PM

The Northern Collegiate Hockey Association (NCHA), which is what the College of St. Scholastica hockey programs compete in, have decided to push pack conference play to the 2021 calendar year due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.

The league plans to not play games prior to January 1.

Conference athletic directors made the decision based on wanting to protect the health and safety of student-athletes, coaches, staff and administration, their families, and broader campus and local communities.

Engagement in non-conference competition prior to January 1 remains at the discretion of individual institutions.

The conference schedule will be adjusted for a January start, based on state and local public health officials, NCAA and institutional guidance and any adjustment to national championship dates.
