The No.1 Hermantown Hawks boy’s hockey took on No.2 Warroad on Saturday night.

The Hawks would break the ice with a first period goal from the stick of Matt Kauppinen.

Still 1-0 in the second before Carson Pilgrim tickled the twine for the Warriors forcing overtime.

Gavin Blomdahl would score the game winner in the extra frame, as Hermantown skated to a 2-1 victory.
